Scott Douglas Kemp 1963-2020

How to capture the essence of Scott.  He was one of a kind.  So loving (of everyone!), witty and kind.  He had an innocent faith that allowed him to walk faithfully with God and to share that faith with others.  He read the Bible cover to cover over 25 times and astounded us with his Bible knowledge.  His Downs Syndrome need for routine and "a schedule" sometimes frustrated us but we never wavered in our acceptance of his needs.  His emotions could overflow in a moment and his glasses were often spotted with tears, usually tears of joy.  Music was so important to him and he played his organ daily and could belt out a hymn in his deep booming voice.  Mom deserves much credit for encouraging and pushing Scott to excel.  He would often speak of Heaven with a longing that was real but would add, "but not yet."  He loved life.  Now he receives his great Reward.  Fly high Scott.
