Niagara is all power and roar! Despite the protective ponchos, we got soaked.
The Maid of the Mist took us under the Falls.
We drove through the Adirondack Mtns on a rainy day. The colors were beautiful.
We crossed into Vermont via the ferry across Lake Champlain.
Vermont - rocks and streams, beautiful leaves, peaceful farmsteads, and covered bridges.
Roadside décor.
On the road again.
Many cool little country stores and shops caught our attention.
Driving on. So much beauty.
We visited Pat's friend, Dague and his wife and I made a new friend. Sasha, their bernese mountain dog, recognized the dog lover in me. She was a beauty.
Classic New England - white church steeples.
We saw this sign a number of times, but no moose. In fact, in 5 days in Vermont, we saw NO wildlife at all. Well, we did see one black squirrel. Otherwise, not-a. Not even roadkill.
The lakes (ponds in New England lingo) were the bluest of blues.
Just because... We did see this strange sight. A zebra and a cow!
It was a grand journey!
